About this Speaker:

Shaw, (Chinese Overseas Flagship 2018-2019), an international affairs and Asian religions and cultures student at Western Kentucky University, presents a report on Chinese people's perceptions of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community. He presents his rationale for selecting this topic and discusses the historical developments of LGBT from classical to contemporary day China. He argues that the acceptance of LGBT is related to cultural shifts. His internship took place in the Spring 2019 semester.
