Idarraga (Russian Overseas Flagship 2017-2018), a pre-med Capstone student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, presents a report at Kazakh National University on his internship at the Municipal Cardiology Center in Almaty, the principal cardiological teaching and research hospital of Central Asia, where he served under the chief of cardiology, Dr. Elena N. Sergeeva. His duties included conducting regular rounds of patients, taking medical histories, reporting to supervising physicians, participating in staff meetings and seminars, and observing operations and procedures from December 2017-May 2018.
